Independent practice · United Kingdom
I build software that takes the repetitive work off your team.
Bespoke tools, workflow automation and AI integration for businesses. Plus MQL5 development and testing for traders who need software built properly. One person scopes it, builds it, and answers the phone afterwards.
A conversation, not a pitch. If I cannot help, I will say so.

Fig. 01Where to start
Which of these sounds like you?
Two distinct kinds of work, and a third door if neither quite fits. Pick whichever is closest and it will take you to the detail.
Route 01
Business tools, automation & AI
For businesses and organisations with jobs that come round every week and eat time. I build the software that does them instead.
- Workflow automation and system integration
- Internal tools, dashboards and apps
- Document and report generation
- Records, sign-offs and renewal tracking
- AI integration, where it actually helps
Route 02
MQL5 development & EA testing
For traders who have a strategy and need it built properly. I write the code and build the testing around it. The strategy stays yours.
- Expert Advisors coded to your specification
- Indicators and scripts
- Backtesting and optimisation setup
- Risk controls and safe-failure logic
- Logging, alerting and VPS deployment
Route 03
Need something more bespoke, or have a general query?
A good deal of work does not fit neatly into a category. If you have a problem and are unsure whether software is the answer, ask. I will give you a straight assessment either way.
Before work starts
You get a written scope with acceptance criteria. Nothing starts until you have agreed it.
Price
Fixed against that scope. If it changes, we agree the cost first.
Verification
Tested against every criterion we agreed, including what happens when conditions are wrong.
Afterwards
Documentation, a walkthrough, and a direct line to the person who built it.

I am Daniel Norman. I build software, and I am the person you deal with from the first call through handover and beyond it.
What I care about is the work that shouldn't exist. The report someone rebuilds by hand every month. The spreadsheet three people are frightened to touch. The job that takes a full day and should take ten minutes. Finding those, and getting rid of them, is the part I genuinely enjoy.
I build trading systems in MQL5 that run unattended for weeks, handle bad or missing data, and stop safely rather than carry on and make things worse. I build tools that take large volumes of written material and turn it into documents that hold up. I build the dashboards that sit on top of a business's operations, and I know the point where a spreadsheet has outgrown itself and needs to become real software, because I have watched it happen.
Most of what I do comes down to one thing: asking the right questions before anything gets built. What actually happens today, what breaks, what nobody has mentioned yet, and whether this is worth your money at all. Get that wrong and the finished thing is useless however well it runs.
BrightDragon is new, and there is no client list yet. Everything above is my own work, and it is the standard I hold to before I let anyone see it.
You deal with me
I scope it, I build it, and I pick up the phone. There is nobody in between.
I will tell you no
If a job is not worth automating you will hear it, even when that means no work for me.
Built to be left
Documented properly, so it keeps running after the job finishes and without me in the loop.

What I cannot show you yet
BrightDragon is new. There are no case studies on this page because there are no finished client projects yet. I could put up something vague that sounds like proof. I would rather not start that way.
So you would be one of the first. Founding rates, my full attention, and no queue in front of you. What I ask in return is permission to write up what got built and what it saved. Anonymised if you would rather. I would only name your organisation if you put that in writing.

The first finished job, written up with real figures.

Reserved
What the problem was, what I built, what it saved, what it cost.
