Page size
The shared stylesheet is 74 KB, and the typefaces add at most 177 KB across 8 files. The stylesheet and typefaces are downloaded once and reused by every page. Sizes before compression; compressed, the homepage and stylesheet together are 67 KB.
Plain pages
Every page is a plain HTML file made before it is uploaded, so nothing is assembled while you wait. The only code that runs on our server fetches the European Central Bank’s published exchange rates for the currency converter.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies. Checkout happens on Paddle’s own pages, which set the cookies Paddle needs to take payment, and films play from YouTube only when you press play. Our privacy notice lists everything.
Typefaces
The IBM Plex typefaces are served from this website’s own server, so loading a page sends nothing to a font company.
Before each release, the main pages are checked at phone and desktop widths with axe-core 4.14, an open-source accessibility checker, against the WCAG 2.1 level A and AA rules it can test. The checks for this release found no faults. Automated checks find only some kinds of problem.

Web design
New sites and redesigns are from £900 for up to five pages; larger sites are quoted from a short brief. There is no consultation fee for website work.
